Cassandra Lynn “Sandy” Stephenson, 58, Oblong, Illinois passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her residence in Oblong, Illinois.
Sandy was born in Tell City, Indiana, on October 27, 1955. She was the daughter of Joseph B. Stephenson and Lavonia L. (Covert) Stephenson. On July 26, 1975, she married Alan Potter.
Sandy was a beautician in her own business for 10 years. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oblong, IL. She was also a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1974, Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., Marshall, IL. and she enjoyed crocheting and taking pictures.
Sandy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Alana and Zach Bean of Oblong, IL.; twin granddaughters Aurora and Camryn Bean of Oblong, IL.; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jeff and Linda Stephenson of Houston, TX.; Jim and Regina Stephenson of Oblong, IL; and Joe Stephenson of Oblong, IL; two nephews Joey Stephenson of Bethany, IL; and Chris and Brandi Stephenson of Oblong, IL.; and a niece Lindsay Stephenson of St. Louis, MO.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents.
